The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Project Manager.  The Project Manager is responsible for administering the security contract and ensuring compliance with the regulatory and contractual requirements.  This position will act as G4S liaison with the client, law enforcement agencies, customers, and employees.  This position is also responsible for management oversight and driving operational accountability through effective change management and leadership development processes.  This Project Manager plans, organizes, directs, and controls the operational and administrative activities of the contract on a day to day basis as well as proposing and implementing proactive measures to improve performance and expand the operation.  This individual is directly accountable for the success, performance, compliance, and public perception of the program. This position includes maintenance of schedules in G4S Labor Scheduling System and the oversight of data entry in the Labor Scheduling System.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Oversee that all aspects of the security function on-site personnel is performed in a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training all G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. personnel assigned to his/her site).
  • Coordinate contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met.
  • Maintain overtime to a preset requirement designated by G4S.
  • Provide quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel assigned to his/her site.
  • Perform other operations related function (e.g. payroll, review and maintain incident reports, issue uniforms, coordinate fleet vehicles, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders).
  • Be consistent with disciplinary action/ commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel.
  • Respond to client requests
  • Proactively communicate and confirm scheduling posts, shifts, and scheduled times
  • Data entry in the G4S Labor Scheduling System
  • Create Master Schedule; create three-week schedule look ahead and one-week locked schedule
  • Identify accurately number of open positions
  • Provide assistance to the General Manager and Operations Manager in monitoring non-billable overtime
  • Coordinate OJT (on the job training) for Officers with Site Supervisors, Account Managers, and Clients
  • Schedule and manage call offs and vacation requests for the employees


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a current and valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to meet and maintain any applicable licensing or certification requirements
  • Must be able to pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess work experience showing aptitude for assisting in the operational management of a large semi-independent business enterprise.
  • Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of verifiable and successful supervisory experience in security-related industry

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Applications
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules
  • Must have access to transportation to get to work
  • Must be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Must possess a demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:        Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, maneuvering up to 10 pounds, and limited stretching and reaching
