The Project Manager of Patient Transport Services will provide supervision of all patient transport drivers and shift supervisors, and manage the transport hubs, fleet of vehicles, purchases, and upkeep required for a successful patient transport program.  The Project Manager will be expected to maintain key relationships with healthcare clients, complete all necessary administrative actions necessary for reporting, budget management, payroll, and scheduling of services for the transport program.

The Project Manager, Patient Transport Services is responsible for administering the security contract and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.  This position will act as the company liaison with client, law enforcement agencies, customers, and employees.  This position is also responsible for providing management oversight and driving operational accountability through effective change management and leadership development processes.  This position is the primary point of contact for Human Resources functions involving company employees.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Primary liaison between company and client senior management
  • General Operations management; review post orders and make recommendations to corporate security when updates should be considered; review daily log reports and provides pass downs as required; responsible for officers meeting company standards pertaining to quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all company policies and procedures including worldwide business standards
  • General Human Resources management; including selection and placement, performance reviews, attendance management, conflict resolution; scheduling, and payroll
  • Provide monthly report to the facilities and corporate security organizations detailing all pertinent activities that have occurred in the previous month concerning any security and safety issues
  • Administer G4S Safety Program; semi-annually review and revise the security Emergency Response plan
  • Conduct and document monthly testing of security systems; follow through on any corrections/maintenance issues
  • Manage accounts and client expectations within the assigned District/area
  • Manage the contracts associated with patient transports in the assigned area
  • Manage the fleet necessary to complete service requirements in a safe and respectful manner
  • Manage customer expectations and employee actions to provide top level customer service
  • Prepare reports, post orders, operational guides, policies, procedures, and best practices associated with patient transport services
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with the assigned client(s) currently receiving patient transport services
  • Communicate professionally and coordinate with the dispatch services of patient transport program, including the use and maintenance of software related to provision of services
  • Maintain operational oversight of patient transport services on a daily basis
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting that demonstrates the quality of service provided for the assigned patient transport contract
  • Maintain close communications with G4S Healthcare division leadership on existing and new business opportunities, operational concerns, or other business related to patient transport


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain all necessary state or federal licensing requirements
  • Must possess a Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of security, safety, or law enforcement experience in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Work history to include demonstrated knowledge of security and safety inspections and electronic security systems

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

  • Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules and respond to work assignments with little to no advance notice.
  • Must be able to operate cellular smartphone, radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Must possess a demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:    Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:    Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, light lifting, and limited stretching and reaching
