Job Introduction:

Product Specialist - Cash Recycling

Deposita has a vacancy for Product Specialist - Cash Recycling, based in Samrand.

Reporting to the Director: Research, Development and Product Enablement, the Product Specialist - Cash Recycling, is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely administration/completion of the product support process in line with company policies and procedures.

The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which support plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.


Role Responsibility:

Main Purpose of Position:

Ensure the positioning of the Company in a manner that allows for Market Share Growth within the Cash Recycling environment and to becoming a Market leader in end-end client solutions.

Key Performance Areas:

Market research

  • Screen Global and Local consumer trends and propose new innovative products that will allow the capturing of markets based on consumer trends.
  • Screen Global and Local suppliers of related products for potential supply agreements and partnerships. Fit for purpose relationships based on product needs.
  • Screen the Market for Products, staying abreast of the best in breed globally, and present opportunities / plans based on products.  
  • Align to the Group & Deposita strategies and propose products based on Group / Deposita requests

Product related functions

Perform Product related functions (with the relevant departments), both Local and International:

  • Product performance measurement with key metrics
  • Pricing,
  • Brochures / Marketing,
  • SLA,
  • Spare parts,
  • Manage 3rd party product suppliers, including Contracts, SLA, monthly meetings, Product road-maps, Pricing negotiations, innovation directives,
  • Set up internal / external development meetings and track progress through progress reports and highlighting potential risks and delays
  • Manage key customers and Projects on Product roll-outs / Pilot's / Proof of Concepts.

Product commercialization

  • Collaborating and strategising with the business teams.
  • Attending workshops & conferences based on product technologies, marketing and sales.
  • Plan and arrange, with the relevant teams, new and updated product releases and events.
  • Performing product demonstrations for customers, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the development of business plans.
  • Scheduling training sessions and attending meetings as required.

Health and Safety

  • Collaborating and strategising with the business teams.
  • Attending workshops & conferences based on product technologies, marketing and sales.
  • Plan and arrange, with the relevant teams, new and updated product releases and events.
  • Performing product demonstrations for customers, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the development of business plans.

The Ideal Candidate:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification recommended
  • Previous specialized industry & product experience essential
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ general management experience
  • Proven experience in Customer Relationship Management
