As a Security Command Center Operator, you will provide 24 hour monitoring of all facility activities across our high profile client's infrastructure. Your responsibilities include the monitoring of the Control Center life safety systems, the monitoring of on-line building systems, and taking appropriate action to keep all systems running smoothly. You will also respond to emergency calls and alarm systems.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Answer the security hotline calls
  • Submit security incident reports
  • Activate / deactivate access cards
  • Assist callers with access control issues
  • Put in maintenance tickets for camera and access control issues throughtout company
  • Respond to site alarms and respond appropriately


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess one or more of the following
    • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
    • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
    • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
    • A minimum of 8 or more years of active service in any military branch
    • Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service

  • Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the State, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Must be able to demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Flexibility in work schedules and availability for all shifts is essential
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
  • Must have the ability to prioritize workload based on urgency
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must be able to accurately type 35 words per minute while talking on the phone
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
  • Upon acceptance of a job offer, must be able to pass the following:
    • MMPI - Psychological testing, if armed or otherwise required
    • Physical exam, if armed or required by client contract

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office, minimal to no exposure to extreme cold or heat

Major activity: Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, light lifting, and limited stretching and reaching.
