The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator-Analyst.  The GSOC Operator-Analyst supports the client and other business function leaders, and executes the various core functions of the GSOC. Responsibilities to include, but not limited to; Incident Recognition/Escalation, Intelligence Analysis, Emergency Response, and Physical Security.

Operator-Analysts act as partners who work closely with teams across the security organization and the wider business units to understand information requirements, deliver timely analysis, and present key insights to internal stakeholders.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Serve as communications hub for the Global Security department
  • Monitor global events and assess/communicate impact to client
  • Complete risk and intelligence driven reports to Global Security and other stakeholders
  • Receive calls for help/assistance from employees & respond appropriately
  • Provide support and participate in crisis mitigation and after action reporting
  • Assist in sending company mass notifications
  • Monitor and communicate risks associated with client employees and assets
  • Monitor health of all Global Security platforms and applications
  • Monitor access control and CCTV systems for alarms and facilitate appropriate response
  • Monitor all Fire and associated alarms and facilitate appropriate response
  • Collaborate with Security Guard Force and other business partners to meet operational goals
  • Assist client Security Management with other tasks as assigned

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain upon hire, a CT Guard Card

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • If previously employed, meaningful and verifiable work history

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must have the ability to communicate at an executive level, both written and orally, through superior communication skills
  • Must have the ability to make decisions, multi-task, and operate within high stress situations, often under time constraints
  • Must have the ability to analyze and think critically, sometimes under ambiguous circumstances
  • Must be able to follow written policy/procedures
  • Must possess solid computer knowledge and skills, and have experience working with complex platforms
  • Must be equally comfortable working independently or collaboratively
  • Must be self-motivated, highly responsive and proactive, able to own tasks from start to finish
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:          Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major Activity:         Working on PC while sitting, telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:      Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching.
