Role Responsibility:


  • Daily operations and administrative management in London
    • Co-ordinating fine art logistics and customs procedures for imports, exports and domestic shipments throughout all transport modes (air, sea, land), warehouse and inventory management
    • Operational POC for customers in London, managing the logistical tasks on a daily basis to provide high quality and timely communications to ensure client satisfaction
    • Managing the Operations Coordinator team on a daily basis, ensuring all operational requirements are met within reasonable time frame
    • Budget calculation and preparation of quotations for exhibitions, projects and single shipments
    • Reporting to the General Manager Fine Art
  • Managing our fine art business in London
    • Maintaining the operating system to manage shipments/quotes and provide the General Manager with details
    • Establishing strict customs controls and maintaining facility as customs bonded warehouse and known cargo site
    • Ensuring all G4Si fine art logistics operational procedures are up to date, documented and implemented
    • Work with the General Manager to manage and control operational costs and meet margin requirements
    • Liaise with other Sector Operations Managers to ensure maximum inter sector synergies
    • Managing third party relationships and establishing clear instructions between both
  • Working with the GM Fine Art to extend G4Si's fine art capabilities and services throughout the region

The Ideal Candidate:


  • Experienced Customs Manager, ideally with Fine Art logistics knowledge – both operational and strategic
  • Experienced in running a Logistics service – warehouse, customs and client management
  • Good communication skills and highly presentable to clients
  • Highly organised and able to implement new operational systems
  • Ability to build and maintain good client relations
  • Preferably understanding of the local, regional and global fine art market
  • Ideally good network within the Fine Art transport market globally
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Strong computer user skills with MS Office applications, warehouse management systems and customs systems
  • Flexibility to work weekends or  abroad as and when required
  • European Languages are a plus
