Job Introduction:


The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Nuclear Project Manager. As Nuclear Project Manager, you will be responsible for administering the security contract and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.  This position is also responsible for providing management oversight and driving operational accountability through effective change management and leadership development processes.  This position is the primary point of contact for human relations functions involving G4S RSS employees.

Primary Duties:

  • Provides daily status reports to client and coordinates dissemination of information regarding shift related activities.
  • Interfaces and conducts staff meetings/reviews to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Performs shift visits in accordance with site requirements to include backshifts and weekends.
  • Communicates with and observes shift personnel on a daily basis.
  • Interfaces with union leadership.
  • Daily interactions with client.

Administrative duties:

  • Review labor scheduling validation post report prior to posting to headquarters each Monday.
  • Prepare weekly contract labor expense and activity report as outlined by client.
  • Validate fiscal monthly close and ensure deadline to Assistant Controller is maintained.
  • Conduct semi-annual Career Development Reviews
  • Prepare quarterly performance profit award documentation for client negotiation, review and billing.
  • Prepare and submit the monthly management report.
  • Check and respond to e-mails.
  • Prepare special project report(s) or activities as requested by the client or G4S headquarters.

Fiscal Responsibilities:

  • Ensures negative trends in contract performance are identified and corrected.
  • Ensure RSS programs are properly implemented and maintained to meet contractual requirements.
  • Monitor and manage site contract budget.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions


  • Administer Nuclear Security Contract
  • Perform G4S RSS human relations functions
  • Selection and placement of new hires
  • Perform G4S RSS administrative functions
  • Provide operational guidance involving nuclear security related events
  • Professional development of G4S RSS nuclear employees
  • Conduct investigations and administers discipline
  • Conduct purchasing and control of inventory
  • Administer Safety Program
  • Conduct labor relations meetings, resolution of union grievances and negotiations
  • Perform management oversight duties for payroll, billing and collections of client invoices
  • Administer SCWE (Safety Conscious Work Environment) program and objectives


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary state or federal licensing requirements.

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Possess a minimum of five years in the nuclear security industry or equivalent
  • Possess a minimum of two years of supervisory or management experience in security or a related field
  • Prior project management experience

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Office; minimal work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:  Working on PC while sitting; telephone use; walking on site to engage with employees and plant personnel.

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, light lifting, and limited stretching and reaching.
