Job Introduction:

G4S Secure Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated security management solutions, has a vacancy for a National Projects Manager based at our operations in Centurion 

Reporting to the Managing Director, the main purpose of the role is to co-ordinate and manage the implementation of all integrated solutions and other technology solutions, in compliance with company policies and procedures including designing policies, overseeing customer service and ensuring achievement of budgeted financial targets and providing leadership on all Special and National Projects for the business.

The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

Role Responsibility:

Operational Strategy


  • Develop and implement an operational strategy, standards and procedures to execute on the implementations of G4S Risk 360 and Integrated Solutions
  • Strategy and standards to be aligned with the Head of Integrated Solutions strategy
  • Create a service delivery strategy with short, medium- and long-term objectives – measure and report on these objectives on an ongoing basis
  • Set up training standards and the required infrastructure to support a long-term sustainable business model 
  • Technical support available to operational teams
  • Encourage skill development and sharing of resources within operational teams
  • Demonstrate G4S’s capabilities and opportunities for impacting integrated security solutions 
  • Identifying new business opportunities which lead to the development of solutions 
  • Design, cost and present additional technology solutions and manage the successful project implementation
  • Oversight of all project implementations and ensuring the success thereof


Service Excellence


  • Establish trusted long-term relationships with in-country teams and customers
  • Facilitate the delivery of service as per contract and SLA requirements. 
  • Create strong and trusted relationships within other areas of G4S (Country and Group)
  • Significantly influence customer satisfaction with G4S through knowledge of the industry - ability to articulate solutions, value and service delivery
  • Continually review and improve gross margin profitability and operational capability within the Project
  • Ensure secure, safe, efficient and customer- oriented handling of technology solutions in support of customer service
  • Adherence to local, national and international legislation and procedures




  • Manage relationship between actual results, budgets and forecasts
  • Gross Margin Management and Contract profitability




  • Ensure an effective organization is designed and developed
  • Implement succession planning at all levels within the structure
  • Attendance of subordinates at scheduled training interventions; interventions are planned in advance and communicated to staff
  • Leadership training for Management and Supervision
  • A recruitment pipeline is maintained
  • All employees are contracted in terms of the relevant G4S procedure
  • Adequate channels of communication with staff are in place
  • Compliance is maintained with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority regulations
  • Leave planning is carried out and employees take leave as prescribed


Operational Excellence


  • Implementation & Ownership of G4S Risk 360 and other Integrated Solutions across all areas of the business 
  • Providing detailed and timeous reporting on Operations to Customers and to the Head of Integrated Solutions 
  • Coordinate customer service operations and find ways to ensure customer retention
  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws (e.g. data protection)
  • Manage contracts and relations with customers, vendors, partners and other stakeholders
  • Transferring Risk Assessments into value offerings 
  • Ensure Contract Profitability through Technology innovation
  • Results of Project Implementations and other reviews are monitored
  • Quality Management / Ops Process Management – adherence to quality standards 
  • Minuted monthly operational performance review sessions with all Country Champions
  • Monthly reviews with key suppliers and subcontractors
  • Submit to vetting procedures on an ongoing basis.


Technology Innovation


  • Innovation and Advancement of G4S Risk 360 and other Integrated Solutions
  • Sourcing and Testing new Technologies 
  • Integration of new Technologies into G4S Risk 360 
  • Designing bespoke solutions for Customers

  • Completion of all online training modules such as but not limited to Integrated Solution Generalist, Risk Assessment Modules, G4S Risk 360 Training, G4S Ways of Selling etc


Health and Safety


  • Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the departmental safety plans for each year
  • Participate in safety forums created by the company for example safety meetings and safety talks
  • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
  • Discuss all safety incidents
  • Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/management
  • Attend safety education and refresher programs
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures at the workplace
  • Distribute safety information as and when required



The Ideal Candidate:

Qualification and Experience


  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience implementing and managing Integrated Solutions and G4S Risk 360
  • Minimum 3 years people management experience
  • Deep understanding of system integration and implementation
  • Post tertiary education is essential, ideally within the Technology space.
