As a Mobile Patrol Officer for G4S, variety is guaranteed.  Your day-to-day duties will adapt to meet the demand of the business and will ensure no two days are exactly the same.  


You’ll be the first port-of-call in ensuring the safety of our customers and clients based across a collection of sites around Manchester, with full site training and support every step of the way. 


You will join our team as a dedicated mobile patrol officer across sites in Swinton and Stockport. 


We are looking for an experienced Security Officer to join us on a permanent basis. This role will be covering relief shifts on a full-time basis and will cover days, nights and weekends.  


Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities


Previous experience in security is not a must, but if you're already working in the industry, or have before, we welcome you to join our team. We know you'll get off to a flying start!


We also welcome people who have worked previously in retail, travel, sales, recruitment or hospitality - jobs that rely on delivering great service. If you've done this type of work before, then you may have skills that would suit and as we provide full training, we'll help you pivot your skills into a new career.


A typical week will involve visiting a range of sites within your area; ensuring the safety of our customers' staff, their buildings and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile. Other elements of the role will include:


  • Building relationships with employers and community organisations
  • Site opening and closing
  • Scheduled patrols of customer premises
  • Response to alarms at customer sites
  • Dealing with any security incidents on site and completing relevant incident report forms


You'll be responsible for a wide variety of duties including the management of visitor passes, liaising with customers, gatehouse duties, checking in contractors, reception duties,  alarm calls and issuing passes visitor vehicle checks.

Who You Are:

If you are aged 18 or over and are a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service all times, then this could be the career for you! 


Our contractual requirements mean that you will work on a full-time, permanent basis working a combination of days, nights and weekends. The requirement of this role means you will need to have a full UK driving licence and have access to your own personal vehicle.
