Job Description

We are seeking a proven Business Development Manager with strong technical knowledge of Electronic Security Systems, CCTV/ Access Control/ Intruder Alarms (some knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems would be an advantage but is not essential), to cover London and the South East.

The key focus of this role is to develop key strategic relationships, achieve sales targets and grow G4S Fire & Security Systems (G4S FSS) profitability, through the successful winning of new business with Main Contractors, M&E Contractors, Consultants and Specifiers.

 

Responsibilities 


 - Achieve sales/order intake targets so that the business achieves its strategic plan for profitable and sustainable growth in Projects

- Identify and win new projects 

- Conduct surveys and assist with associated designs and quotations 
- Manage relationships and drive business growth

- Proactively research the market and the competitors 
- Produce Monthly reports
- Negotiate commercial arrangement with customers subject to agreed and approved criteria 

- Manage internal relationships

- Work alongside the installation and service departments

- Develop relationships with key decision makers and influencers within target markets


About you

- You will have experience in dealing with consultants, Major Contractors and M&E contractors
- A background in electrical and mechanical engineering within the Fire&Security sector would be extremely useful 
- Strong technical proven sales ability in the security and/or fire market
- Track record of negotiating major contracts 

- You will have knowledge of market leading CCTV and access control systems
- Experience of customer relationship management processes 
- For Compliance you will need prove 5 year working history

No Qualifications are a strict requirement for this role however as you are from a technical background you will have the related qualifications (e.g City and Guilds/NVQ etc)
