Job Introduction:

The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a The Learning and Development Specialist.  The Learning and Development Specialist will create a program to onboard and train the highest quality of Customer Service Center agents. They will continually develop and maintain working relationships with operational departments and other management departments to tailor and facilitate tenured agent training. The Specialist will partner with vendors to facilitate regular trainings to ensure accuracy when performing daily responsibilities.

The Specialist will design and implement quality assurance programs to ensure best in class service is delivered. This position will develop training programs designed to resolve deficiencies found during the QA process. Scope of the role will ensure maintenance of our internal Knowledge Base and ticketing system.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Implement various learning and delivery methods to enhance employee skills and knowledge (coaching programs, classroom training, shadowing experiences, etc.)
  • Administer tests and assessments to ensure understanding of material trained; continuously reviewing training course curriculum and make updates as needed; ensure that G4S contract requirements, training and development have been followed
  • Administer and maintain internal Knowledge Base to ensure current information is provided to employees
  • Create and maintain a centralized database for training record retention and continuing education
  • Develop and implement a QA program which will provide feedback to agents and leadership to provide best in class service
  • Assist in onboarding activities for new hires, including request for email addresses and IDs for new hires
  • Conduct administrative duties pertaining to Service Now 
  • Other duties as required

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience conducting training in a classroom setting or with large groups of individuals
  • Work history must include demonstration of:
    • Excellent organizational skills that include the ability to multitask and prioritize work
    • Strong consultative, analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external leadership team members
    • Strong facilitation skills
    • Ability to create training materials

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office; indoor with minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures expected

Major activity:        Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:      Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching, and reaching
