Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning and Development professional to join the wider Human Resources team. The role is primarily based in Belfast, with scope to work from home and travel to multiple client locations across Northern Ireland. 

The successful candidate will provide end to end learning interventions that support business objectives while ensuring that both quality and compliance standards are met and maintained. This is a diverse role, covering multiple workstreams, delivering training in ICT, technical, regulated and behavioural skills. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Ownership of Onboarding/Induction processes
  • Delivering Learning Progreammes in line with Client, Company and regulatory guidelines
  • Conducting site visits to deliver real-time on-the-job coaching and development
  • Liaising with managers to identify learning and development needs
  • Designing blended learning solutions that drive results and support client required client outcomes through technical, behavioural and leadership programmes
  • Ensuring employees receive and/or complete statutory and mandatory training (both Client and Company led)
  • Driving a culture of continuous professional development (CPD)
  • Monitoring how effectively learning has been transferred to employees
  • Develp and execute a full and on-going training evaluation model in line with Contract Learning and Development function guidelines
  • Maintain accurate training records
  • Provide reporting to HRBP and management (ad-hoc & structured)
  • Supporting and undertaking other duties within the HR department


Ideal Candidate

Essential requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in the delivery of workplace training
  • Proficient in systems/ database training
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to form and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office suite: particulary PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Ability to work both independantly and remotely 
  • Flexible approach to working hours and locations depending upon training needs 
  • Full Driving Licence with access to own vehicle 

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge of the security industry and Security Industry Authority 
  • Valid SIA and CCTV License Desirable
  • Appropriate training qualification (CIPD or equivalent)
