Job Introduction:

                      International Software Support Engineer

G4S Deposita (SA), a leading provider of integrated cash management solutions, has a vacancy for an International Software Support Engineer based at our international operations in Dubai.

The main purpose of this role is to supply software support, communicate and collaborate with all internal and external departments or companies making use of the Cash360 solution and products.


Role Responsibility:

International After Sales Support

  • Provide timely, efficient and professional service to all clients to ensure client satisfaction
  • Manage a large volume of inbound and outbound support calls
  • Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, provide direct support or guidance forward to resolution
  • Follow step by step troubleshooting scripts for first line support
  • Create problem tickets for all calls and e-mails received, enter the history of the problem and subsequent resolution if resolved at the Help Desk
  • Monitor health of network, hardware, and software for Cash 360 customers

Training and Development

  • New Projects - Present Training for all involved in the new project                       
  • Current Projects -  Training Manual Management retraining
  • General Training Administration – Certification &
  • Reporting 

Develop Software Solutions, conduct feasibility studies and grow the business

  • Installed patches on Sun Solaris and HP11i and performed database sanitization for Oracle 9i upgrade
  • Executed unit and system test on enhancements, patches, and applications to ensure 100% quality results
  • Closely monitored production systems to ensure consistently flawless performance

Provide first line support, troubleshooting, implement, testing and roll-out of all services provided. Ensure verification of coding  and execution of software solutions provided to customers

  • Supporting the technical design process by participating in the analysis of technical application requirements
  • Assisting in implementing analyses that will identify requirements related to people, processes and technology
  • Participating in implementing the technical infrastructure
  • Assisting in the integration of technical and application components
  • Coding and testing program modules; assisting in design
  • Maintaining, tuning and repairing applications; providing user support
  • Participating in execution and documentation of tests
  • Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Participate in the design/development/review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/region/national safety plans for each year.
  • Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks

  • Discuss all safety incidents on all levels
  • Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/management
  • Attend safety education and refresher programmes
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures at workplace
  • Distribute safety information as and when required


The Ideal Candidate:

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • Grade 12 or NQF Level 4,
  • 3 years’ experience within the Cash360 environment, G4S Deposita advantageous,
  • Excellent communication capabilities,
  • Willingness to travel abroad,
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office,
  • Effective oral and written communication skills,
  • Active listening skills,
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively,
