Salary range:  £23,987.40 - £24,988.60 per annum depending on experience and qualifications

Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week)

G4S Care & Rehabilitation Services (CaRS) already successfully manages 5 prisons, one secure training centre and a number of community contracts in England and Wales. The philosophy of our prisons is to rehabilitate offenders and equip them to re-integrate into mainstream society on release. We seek to normalise prison conditions as far as possible to reflect life in the outside community. Our aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe.

 

HMP & YOI Parc in Bridgend, accommodates 1038 convicted male adult prisoners and remand/convicted young offenders and young people in a secure but modern environment. 

 

We are now looking for a Production and Manufacturing Tutor to join our Team at HMP & YOI Parc. You will be working closely with Prisoners on a daily basis and will coordinate workshop activities in line with Prison regime requirements, developing the prisoner’s skills and supporting them through qualifications. The prisoners in your care will have a variety of different needs and it will be your role to ensure those individuals are treated with dignity and respect and helped to find a new way of life whilst maintaining a safe, secure and structured environment.


The Ideal Candidate:

The successful applicant will have experience in the Production and Manufacturing sector. You will instruct, train and supervise prisoners in the production and assembly of a variety of products replicating a busy factory environment, ensuring prisoners develop their employability skills to help them find sustainable employment upon release.  You can make a real difference to lives!

Essential:

●            Educated to at least GCSE level or similar, good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.

Desirable:

  • ETO1/PTLLS/EAT level 3 or similar is desirable or willingness to work towards.(available in house)
  • Level 3 Health & Safety, Risk Assessment qualifications are desirable or willingness to work towards.
