Job Introduction:

Management of all Information Communications Systems Iraq.
The I.T. & Communications Manager is responsible for the overall general
management including; acquisition, provision, maintenance, accounting and
recovery of Information, Communication, Technology equipment and Electronic
Security Systems (ESS) capability within the SSI Country business operations.

Role Responsibility:

● To manage, administer and account for all Information Technology equipment, capability &
infrastructures deployed across Iraq
● Installation/repair of all IT infrastructures
● Maintenance of G4S Business Network
● Control and maintenance of G4S laptop/desktop computers
● To manage, maintain and account for all Communications equipment, capability and infrastructure deployed throughout G4S area of operation. This is to include Installation/repair of all terrestrial communications used in G4S commercial operations room, base locations and vehicles
● To manage all satellite communications equipment, capability & infrastructures deployed throughout
● Installation and maintenance of DVB RCS equipment and associated equipment
● Deployment and Maintenance of all portable satellite systems
● Installation and maintenance of all welfare internet networks including satellites and peripheral equipment
● Provide I.T. and Communications representation at meetings and consultations with clients or their representatives
● To provide technical support to enable optimum business use of I.T. (or communications-related) presentational and training aids
● Prepare and respond to processes and procedures relating to new bids and proposals requiring IT or comms input. This includes the technical writing input to assist the staffing of proposals. Maintain suitable filing for business undertaken
● Provide assistance and direction to IT and Communications personnel
Have an understanding of radio systems inclusive of programming and fitting out B6 armoured
vehicles with relevant equipment.

The Ideal Candidate:

Educational Requirements/Qualifications

● GCSEs, or equivalent, in English language and Mathematics

● Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator or Engineer (MCSA, MCSE, MCITP)

● Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA)

● Should hold at least BTEC Diploma, or equivalent in telecommunications, or trade related certificates of that standard and level


● Minimum of three years networking experience

● Experience in administration of POP3 and Active directory

● Able to design and write SOPs and communication instructions

● Able to design, write and deliver trade-related training to personnel

● Commercial field experience

● Stock control and asset management

● Installation and maintenance of VOIP equipment.

Skills and abilities

● Proven verbal and written skills in management

● The ability to work unsupervised, in a fast paced team environment

● Proven IT skills in all Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Access, Word & PowerPoint).
