Job Introduction:

Role Responsibility:

Human Resources / Recruiting / Administration is responsible to ensure that district operational goals are met or exceeded through HR, recruitment, screening and selection of all personnel (Security Guard/ Private Investigation Staff) for the Regional Office and that an appropriate pool of candidates is sourced / onboarded and maintained to meet future requirements.

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions:

  • Conduct and/or oversee all recruitment related activities for District/Branch Office including: Sourcing, Advertising, Recruitment Fairs, Social Media Advertising and other innovative recruitment strategies.
  • Ensure that all applicants are prescreened, evaluated and processed in accordance with G4S recruitment compliance practices and procedures.
  • Meet regularly with Scheduler, Operations Manager, Client Services Manager, Administration, Manager for proper placement, overtime control and forecasting/meeting the staffing needs of the Branch.
  • Co-ordinate uniform requirements for existing staff and uniform new guards in accordance to Company standards
  • Associated administrative duties and responsibilities including offer letters, new hire documentation and orientation.
  • May be required to facilitate onboarding/orientation programs for new employees.


  • Maintaining an optimal pipeline of candidates through sourcing strategy implementation.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities are in adherence with corporate compliance.
  • Utilize and maintain ATS and TMS activities on a daily basis.
  • Grow candidate sourcing pools through campus recruitment activities.

Decision Making Authority


  • Selection of applicants for secondary screening.
  • Scheduling of recruitment activities within the office.
  • Selection of applicants to attend the formal evaluation process.
  • Completion of recruitment related administrative requirements.


  • Recommendations for selection and placement of recruits post evaluation.
  • Recommendations for attendance at recruitment fairs and drives.

Physical Requirements and Environment: Office

The Ideal Candidate:

Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications Required:

  • Completion of a College Diploma (Business or Human Resources Preferred) 
  • Minimum one year work-related experience in a human resources recruitment role, within a staffing agency or security industry environment is required.
  •  Expertise in the application of legislation including Employment Standards, Human Rights, Health & Safety, Employment Equity, and Privacy
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Skills Required:

  • Efficiency in oral and written communication
  • Adept with social media tools for recruitment
  • Ability to self-manage recruitment process
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to track and analyze recruitment trends
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience working with an ATS and TMS
  • Superior customer service orientation
  • Prepare and deliver monthly reporting activities
  • Identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Experience working in a high volume recruitment environment
  • Ability to conduct recruitment needs assessment with internal client base and hiring manager
  • Posse as strong behavioural based 
  • Interviewing skill set
  • Ability to an orientation/onboarding program utilizing adult education principles

Other related attributes that would enhance hiring considerations: 

  • AIRS or professional recruitment certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience working as a temp agency recruiter or retail recruiter position.
  • Prior security-related experience.
  • Experience supervising in a unionized workforce is an asset.
