Role Responsibility:

HRA – Regional

Full Time – 40 hours per week.
Main focus will be on the Oxford contract but covering; 2 Hospitals in Oxford, 3 schools in North Wiltshire and 4 in Leicester.

Site Overview
The Churchill Hospital is a centre of excellence for cancer services and other specialties, including renal services and transplants.



The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre is an internationally renowned orthopaedic hospital, with strong affiliations to the University of Oxford.



The North Wiltshire schools contract is made up of 3 secondary schools, 2 of which are multi academies. On the most recent Ofsted report one of the schools received an almost perfect Ofsted score.



The Leicester contract is made up of 4 large high schools, one of which teaches further education up to year 13.


Role Overview
Working across such a diverse environment makes this a challenging and exciting opportunity. On our Churchill Hospital contract the majority of the staff are seconded to us under the Retention of Employment (ROE) model which means that we manage the staff in line with the NHS policies and procedures.



We are looking for someone to come in and really make their mark on the role. It is an autonomous role so we are seeking a self-starter who is able to manage and prioritise numerous cases and projects at any one time.



The role is currently employee relation case heavy and we are looking for someone with solid Employee Relation experience including managing sickness absence and disciplinary and HR queries. You will provide professional advice and support to managers in long-term sick cases, including Occupational Health/Ill Health retirement and support the HRBP in the collation and analysis of HR information. There will be a focus on data and how we use it to form the HR agenda in 2020.  

 

You will work alongside the Recruitment, Operations team and Line Managers to find the appropriate solution for the individual challenges faced on each of the contracts.

  • Have proven experience working within a multi-functional and demanding environment
  • ROE experience and knowledge
  • Employee Relation Management
  • Experience coaching and mentoring Managers of all levels and abilities
  •  

It would be desirable for this role if you had knowledge or experience of NHS policies and procedures with regards employees.
