Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager and Site Leadership on staffing requirements, new hire availability, qualifications, and current/future demand
  • Ensure Recruiter has knowledge of open positions, Job Descriptions are developed for open positions, and has been trained to maximize his or her effectiveness in filling those positions
  • Identify staffing trends as well as identify future needs for the local office and/or Market
  • Monitor and track candidates received, interviewed, and hired against open positions; ensure all onboarding requirements are met to ensure G4S and client contract compliance
  • Administrative management:  Administer leaves of absence, FMLA, PTO, etc.; Employee and/or Labor Relations activity, disciplinary actions; Comp Stat participation; Implementing Customer transitions; Workers Comp management; Unemployment claims management, and employee records changes in HRIS; benefits administration
  • Work with G4S Managers to ensure they maximize all opportunities and use all tools available for employee retention and development
  • Ensure compliance with company HR policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Operations and Shared Services Management to align organizational goals and targets
  • Take complaints concerning discrimination, sexual harassment, and workplace harassment; lead and/or assist with investigations; provide guidance and support for supervision concerning employee relations and disciplinary action
  • Conduct Recruiter, Trainer, and Human Resources Generalist training and development
  • Identify, in coordination with the District Manager, opportunities for employee retention and development
  • Ensure that employee appraisals are conducted correctly and in compliance with the annual schedule
  • Ensure that managers are engaged in Performance Management with their employees
  • Affirmative Action Program compliance and planning; oversight of all recruiting, selection, and placement processes; implement corrective actions as needed
  • Ensure overall contract compliance regarding employee basic and preferred qualifications, screening, training, and licensing
  • Administer G4S Safety Program; semi-annual review and revise the security Emergency Response plan; monitors compliance with regulatory and fire prevention requirements and safety items


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Bachelor’s Degree combined with three (3) years of Human Resources management/supervisory experience
    • Associate’s Degree combined with five (5) years of Human Resources management/supervisory experience
    • High School diploma or equivalent combined with ten (10) years of Human Resources management/supervisory experience

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess work experience conducting applicant sourcing, interviewing job applicants, and conducting employee onboarding in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Must possess work experience with employee relations, development and engagement as well as policy implementation and interpretation
  • Must possess working knowledge of employment laws and civil rights legislation
  • Work history must include:
    • Demonstrated knowledge of benefits administration
    • Experience in Union Setting
    • Excellent organizational skills that include the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
    • Sound understanding of personnel and compliance records management
    • Sound understanding of policy interpretation and implementation
    • Strong consultative, analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively with leadership
    • Sound understanding of personnel and compliance records management
    • Ability to manage the performance review process and assist other management positions in completing performance reviews

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major Activity:        Working on PC while sitting, telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching.
