Role Responsibility:

Role Overview
We are looking for a Fixed Term Helpdesk Operative to work on the Service Desk across the HPC main and additional sites to co-ordinate administrative activities to ensure a smooth, effective running of the desk. You will manage all Service Desk calls both inbound and outbound, generating reports using the Computer-aided facility management (CAFM) system.



You will have good interpersonal skills and an excellent ability to follow instructions. You should be experienced in dealing with confidential information, work well in a team environment and have the ability to work to deadlines and manage priorities.

 

You will support agreed SLAs by supporting the wider FM Team to deliver the service, populate the FM monthly report with CAFM statistical data and liaise with the Hard Services Team to appoint reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks on CAFM. You will assist with contractors reports by uploading completion dates, collating all meter readings / waste transfers and assigning tasks to operatives and closing out tasks on the system once completed.

 

There will be some general administrative duties such as filing and auditing, raising and assigning purchase orders for works, monitoring and reviewing purchase card expenditure and distributing and collating customer observation reports.

Site Overview
This is an exciting time to join the G4S Facilities Management Team at Hinkley Point C. We are three years into our ten year contract, working on the largest construction site in Europe.

 

The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.


The Ideal Candidate:

Essential

  • Experience working to deadlines
  • Experience of fluctuating workloads
  • Competency with MS Office

 

It would be desirable for this role if you had strong planning and co-ordination skills and previous experience working in a helpdesk environment.

This role is a fixed term role to cover maternity leave, working Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
The salary is £25,330.27 pro rata
