Role Responsibility:

Main Purpose of Job

G4S Cash Solutions (UK) is looking for a senior strategic business development sales person who will be responsible for seeking out and developing and closing high-value (>£1m ACV) new business with a consultative approach to selling. They should have demonstrable experience in selling technology and service solutions, and be commercially astute, with excellent negotiation skills and a proven record in closing strategic sales and generating significant revenues.

This individual will be expected to hit or over-achieve against an annual sales target by targeting high-value accounts and identifying new sales sectors and winning 2-3 large customer wins per annum (dependent on ACV).

In addition, the individual will directly manage 3x Business Development Managers and ensure delivery of the BDM’s individual sales targets, and serve as a mentor to members of the wider sales team.

  • Manage and communicate progress via accurate and timely reporting in Salesforce

  • To have complete understanding of the suite of G4S Cash Solutions offered to customers and be able to communicate those effectively in a compelling manner to our prospective customers

  • Maintain up to date G4S product knowledge and competitor product knowledge to ensure an in-depth understanding on the market and to remain competitive

  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs

  • Discuss and analyse end user requirements to identify the correct G4S services to sell

  • Ability to articulate the benefits and specialised features of our solutions to positively influence customer purchasing decisions and add value.

The Ideal Candidate:

Person Specification

  • Experience working as a Senior Business Development Manager or similar role (preferably from within the Cash/Finance industry although not essential)

  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets 

  • Excels in the use and adoption of Salesforce and Sales Navigator to build and manage their sales pipeline (desirable)

  • Proficiency in English

  • Unparalleled communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to build a rapport with prospective customers

  • Time management and planning skills

  • BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field (desirable)

  • Experience of solution selling 

  • Able to work under their own initiative 

  • A positive attitude

  • Flexibility and quick thinking 

  • Knowledge about all the company’s products and services

  • To be well-organised and thorough, even under pressure 

  • To understand and comply with the legislation relating to direct marketing
