About Us

G4S Community Contracts in Wales are a key provider of criminal justice services - operating across the community and custodial sectors.  We pride ourselves on the quality of our provision and we consistently seek to work alongside and in partnership with a range of other providers in the voluntary (third), public and private sectors.

We have developed services which are focused on identifying ways to maximise positive impact on individuals and communities by making the most effective use of available resources and by working with other agencies on common objectives across the criminal justice system. This approach can be seen in our early intervention work with Police, our support to HMPPS across communities and prisons and in our developing solutions with others to both complex criminal justice  and substance use related challenges.

We have a commitment to the research and evaluation of services  and to the application of evidence based principles for the development of new initiatives.

We pride ourselves on working with others in the Criminal Justice System and social care sector to both deliver and develop services.  We work with passion and drive to bring innovation to service delivery and to support partners and commissioners in bringing momentum for change, ideas and integration opportunities, best practice  and  value for money initiatives in services which address offending behaviour.

The role

The Head of Operations – Regional, will work closely with various senior partners, both internally and externally, providing regional management and direct line management to operational Service Managers across the  Wales Community Contracts.

You will ensure that high standards of practice are consistently delivered so you will understand what the effective delivery of community based services looks like. Supporting the Director of Community Contracts, you will help enhance and develop the relevant business development projects and the mobilisation of contracts.

In addition, working as part of the senior team in Community Contracts, you will identify growth and development opportunities for the business and contribute significantly to taking and developing our exciting range of services into the future.

Reporting to the Director of Community Contracts, you will contribute to the development of internal relations within wider G4S and various consortium member organisations including building and promoting relationships across the region and participating in all relevant partnership forums, stakeholder and public meetings.  You will ensure the high quality delivery of our operations by inspiring and creating a sustainable ethos of effective practice and innovation across our contract areas and have the ability to communicate this via a range of media.
