We are looking for a Head Chef with a passion for food to join our Catering Team!

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week from 06:30 - 15:30. The salary for this position is £37,500 per annum.

Reporting to the Catering Lead, you will be responsible for creating menu items and recipes, as well as developing dishes which ensure variety and quality.


Other Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop menu offerings, forecast supply needs and estimate cost.
  • Ensure the efficiency of the kitchen and staff and maximise their productivity.
  • Control and direct the food preparation process.
  • Ensuring the serving of quality culinary dishes.
  • Oversee special catering events and where necessary, offer culinary instruction and demonstrate techniques.
  • Ensure aspects of Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and Cleanliness are adhered to.
  • Work to maintain the current 5 star EHO standard and achieve an 90% or higher score as part of the annual G4S internal Food Safety Audit.
  • Determine food inventory needs, stocking and ordering.
  • Coach and guide a team with a positive and approachable manner.
  • Deliver the Hospitality Menu catered to the customer’s individual needs.
  • Create bespoke catering needs when needed.

Essential Criteria:

  • Ability to work under pressure, whilst maintaining a calm demeanour.
  • Enthusiasm to develop your skills and of those around you.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety, COSHH and Due Diligence requirements relating to allergens.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability  to manage a budget and work with figures
  • Team management skills.



  • Salary of £37,500 per annum, depending on experience.
