The GSOC Practice Consultant is the leader for GSOC Program and Practice Management for the G4S lines of business in North America. The role is part of the Corporate Risk Services (CRS) – Management Office’s general management team and is expected to cooperate and co-ordinate activities across all G4S NA LOBs and to uphold company policy outwardly at all times whilst contributing to the overall direction and sense of what it means to be part of the ISS approach. Will manage client requests for engagement and other related activities on an adhoc basis in the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).  The leader will have a strong background in GSOC security, staffing, processes and technology.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Manage and develop new and innovative GSOC solutions for G4S clients
  • Analyze, develop, and strengthen processes and develop a procedural roadmap for client implementations of  G4S GSOC solutions
  • Develop and coordinate plans for GSOC  implementations, including data sheets, sales training, and support services
  • Maintain awareness of and provide G4S product, service, and marketing management with a view of the competitive landscape on an ongoing basis
  • Collaborate with LOB SMEs for the selection of third party products for resale or acquisition as part of G4S GSOC solutions
  • Ongoing capital expenditure justification for product development to Group accounting standards for justification for return on investment on any GSOC-related programs, purchases, or personnel
  • Assisting LOB sales with winning new GSOC business where innovative development and proposals may be required based on client size or complexity of needs or where the client desires to be an early adopter of the G4S GSOC solutions
  • Management and development of embedded GSOC operations teams for clients of Secure Solutions and Corporate Risk Services
  • Develop and publish an easy to administer GSOC Assessment Template
  • Develop and publish minimal G4S GSOC Core Operating Standards, Policies, Procedures and Job Aides
  • Develop GSOC Certified Staffing Designations with a minimum of three distinct levels of operators and analysts
  • Develop core training content for the on-boarding of new staff and the life-cycle training of all embedded staff
  • Identify future organizational structure and potential candidates to support the GSOC Practice
  • Build an integrated plan for the inclusion CRS  Managed Service offerings


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Information Technology, Security Management or a closely-related major

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in any combination of the following:
    • The development, deployment and ongoing management of Global Security Operations Centers and/or Information Risk Centers
    • Experience with a UL Certified Central Alarm Receiving Station
    • Experience with complex security technologies including VMS, Access Control, Incident Management Systems and Threat Monitoring Solutions

  • Must be flexible and dynamic with a solid commitment to delivering excellence
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office with minimal to no extreme temperatures expected.

Major Activity: Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting.

Physical Efforts to Carry Out Job Duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, light lifting,, and limited stretching and reaching.
