The Global Security Operations Center is a 24/7 operation which provides a comprehensive “edge-to-endpoint” monitoring approach to provide broad visibility of activity across the infrastructure of a high-profile client, and leverages intelligence from several systems and technology databases that provide advanced correlation and analysis capabilities to deliver a prioritized list of actionable security incidents to the client’s Global Security Operations Team. 

The GSOC operator is responsible for answering routine and emergency calls, monitoring alarms and video equipment including fire alarms, door alarms, and duress alarms and provides general assistance to employees, vendors and guests. They will helps manage communication efforts, exercising judgment with defined procedures and frequently interacting with the client, internal partners, peer group leaders, vendors and Global Safety and Security Management to properly respond and execute their duties. The GSOC Operator must be detail oriented, have a strong aptitude in communication and analytical thinking when responding to events, as well as having a team first mentality. Daily responsibilities will focus on the monitoring of global events and reports from a variety of security systems and tools. This person must be able to effectively comprehend data and compose clear and effective communications that will have a global audience.

Role Responsibility:

OWOSpecific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Work incidents to completion with involved parties and track resolution in incident management tracking system
  • Manage and handle situations of a sensitive nature and maintain company’s confidentiality and information security practices (medical record, personnel issues, investigations, public relations incidents, emergency personnel contact information, etc.)
  • Conduct investigations and provide reports to Security Management team as requested
  • Support global team members in the delivery of Security based products and services
  • Escalate findings to the segment leads and/ but not limited to the GSOC Supervisor in order to work with Security Engineers and vendors to build and/or deliver viable solution/suggestions for streamlining processes
  • Communicate with Senior Security management on matters related to escalations of global incidents, operational issues and critical situations
  • Specialize in one or more intelligence platforms to exploit the full capabilities of the systems
  • Communicate, track, document and report progress on projects/initiatives and areas of responsibility
  • Monitor, review, track and remediating potential security incidents, alerts and compliance issues across various intelligence platforms
  • Evaluate global incidents that may impact company assets and escalate accordingly to security management and subsequently to other business departments
  • Exercise good judgment with defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate risk assessments and action(s)

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to meet and maintain any applicable licensing or certification requirements

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of one year of experience in emergency dispatch or crisis intervention services
  • Work experience must include of the following:
    • Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills and ability to expertly prepare reports
    • Ability to use logic and reasoning to reach conclusions and approaches to problems
    • Demonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (e.g., hardware, software and networks)
    • Possession of highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
    • Ability to communicate effectively with IT and Security Systems professionals
    • Demonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors
    • Flexibility to work various shifts and willingness to assist the team when needed
    • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and working under extreme pressure

  • Must be 18 years of age or the minimum required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Demonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Flexibility in work schedules and availability for all shifts is essential
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and working under extreme pressure
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Upon acceptance of a job offer, must be able to pass the following:

    • Physical exam

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:  Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching.
