The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Global Security Program Specialist. The Global Security Program Specialist will support the execution of Global Security projects that improve and processes by utilizing analytical skills to plan out actions and tasks. Under the guidance of the Project Managers, this position will be responsible for supporting company wide or cross functional projects related to security operations, security related training programs and crisis management. This position will leverage your experience to provide support to policy, procedure, and project work as assigned, working directly with client leadership. The Global Security Program Specialist will also address project preparedness efforts to mitigate, prepare, respond to and recover from emergency events and security related incidents that could potentially impact client.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Assist with the development and deployment of large scale projects relative to Global Security Operations initiatives and goals
  • Capture functional requirements from client leadership and translate them to technical project tasks
  • Interact and collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical team members
  • Administrative support of the team/department, including agenda and meeting material creation, issue and decision-making tracking, status reporting and documentation management
  • Through critical thinking skills develop and execute project tasks with limited supervision and recommend corrective actions to the project management team
  • Use of strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to learn the structure of applicable client internal DB systems in order to extract, define and use data
  • Research, evaluate and apply industry emergency management standards to support strategic initiatives and project work
  • Maintain project integrity by performing Quality Assurance functions
  • Work collaboratively with internal/external stakeholders to identify and implement technical/system enhancement opportunities
  • Identify critical interest areas and develops strategies for improvement
  • Provide key business partners with information and recommendations to assist in the development of training and communication supporting all areas of security operations
  • Work with clients and supervisors to identify and prioritize new and existing business initiatives which focus on consistent and efficient Global Security Operations
  • Communicate initiative status and feedback to managers, key stakeholders and senior management throughout the organization

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Project Management, Criminal Justice or Security Related Field

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project-related work and/or training experience
  • Must possess prior security/business related experience in a multi-location environment with demonstrated ability to deliver efficiencies through project management and team leadership aspects
  • Work history must include demonstration of each of the following:
    • Experience interacting with multiple stakeholders
    • Root cause analysis, industry bench marking, survey evaluation and data interpretation
    • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage projects as to meet program needs as directed
    • Complex problem solving through the application of logic and reasoning 
    • Advanced proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) applications
    • Ability to write clearly and succinctly in both technical and non-technical formats
    • Planning, organizational and motivational skills
    • Infusion of creativity and innovation into strategic plans
    • Ability to work independently and think ‘outside the box’
    • Identify trends and provide solutions to address issues
    • Manage rapidly changing priorities on a frequent basis
    • Ability to meet multiple, tight deadlines and take ownership of writing tasks from inception to conclusion with minimal to no management oversight
    • Excellent writing, proofing, editing and illustration skills

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:        Working on laptop/PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching, and reaching.
