The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a GSOC Operator. The Operator will work (in shifts and will rotate through day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays) at the 24/7/365 manned Global Security Operations Center which:

  • Monitors global events ranging from Acts of terrorism, to Severe Weather, to Natural Disasters, to Man made disasters, to Political instability
  • Identifies those events that, can, affect the Company’s Interests, Personnel, Environment, Assets, and Reputation
  • Notifies the appropriate stakeholders, thereby enabling a timely response
  • Supports any Emergency Response or Incident and Crisis Management
  • Supports global travelers requiring assistance
  • Monitors CCTV and alarms remotely
  • Monitors CCTV and alarms of Executive residences
  • Conducts CCTV forensics
  • Provides remote access control
  • Tracks Company assets
  • Issues electronic Access Control cards and access rights
  • Monitors maritime High-Risk Areas when Company vessels transit, or operate in it

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Monitor global and local events, identify & verify those that can affect the Company and notify the relevant stakeholders and / or initiate the response
  • Support any Emergency, Incident or Crisis management response to any event that can affect the Company
  • Compiling and disseminating various reports
  • Provide remote / virtual assistance to travelers and business
  • Initiating mass communications as required
  • Monitor CCTV and Alarms and initiate an appropriate response when required
  • Conduct CCTV forensics when required
  • Monitor all tracking systems and initiate a response when required
  • Issue Access Cards and mange access rights
  • Administration related to the above tasks and responsibilities
  • Liaise with Regional / Country / Local Security Manager and or Correspondents
  • Liaise with Local law enforcement or other first responders when required

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operator within a military, law enforcement, emergency services, or private enterprise security operations center or CCTV Control room

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • To qualify for this position you must have:
    • Working knowledge of communications systems and means (including IT, GSM, Satellite, Social Media)
    • Working knowledge of CCTV, alarm systems and Electronic Access Control Systems
    • Working knowledge of world geography and events
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:  Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching.
