Full-time (40 hours per week)

An opportunity have arisen to work in the above post, reporting to the Operational Manager of the areas. Please see below for details.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

To lead by example and drive forward the T3 /  T4 and Visits Operational team promoting the ethos of Parc Supporting Families (PSF). Endeavour (Military veterans in custody/First Timers), and its continued commitment to support and develop innovative ways that healthy family ties can be established, maintained and enhanced, ensuring all staff support the mission:

  • To reduce re-offending.
  • To reduce intergenerational offending.
  • To increase community inclusion.

 

Reporting to the Operational Manager for the daily management of the staff group, responsibilities include regular staff supervision, daily team briefings ensuring all staff on duty are aware of their areas of responsibility and the prisoners or public in their care.

Ensuring full audit compliance in line with PSI 15/2011, PSI 16/2011, Risk Assurance Assessments, LSS and all other PSI’s and PSO’s pertinent to both areas. Quality checks of all paperwork must be carried out as necessary to ensure completion is correct and accurate.

Compliance with the HMPPS Family and Significant Others KPT Measures.

Compliance with the HMIP Expectations (46) for this area.

Compliance with the G4S prisons Family and Significant Others strategy.

To manage as required, the daily visits provision, ensuring the environment is welcoming, safe and secure and the established balance between humanity & dynamic security is maintained, including all searching targets. Quality checks of all paperwork must be carried out as necessary to ensure completion is correct and accurate.

To manage the staff in their daily allotted tasks ensuring staff  act in a professional manner at all times when dealing  with the public, prisoners, families, friends and professional  or legal representatives visiting this establishment 

Supervision of PNOMIS to ensure that all data is entered accurately in both areas.

To manage Kronos in conjunction with the Operational Manager, ensuring all rules and regulations governing the provision are met.

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety ensuring monthly H&S reports are produced for the areas in scope.

Recognition and promotion of the protected characteristics; Age, Disability, Gender Reassignment, Marriage and Civil Partnership, Pregnancy and Maternity, Race, Religion and Belief, Sex and Sexual Orientation.

Ability to produce well-written reports with written summaries, which will also require the use of Excel, importing graphs, producing and analysing data.


The Ideal Candidate:

JOB HOLDER SPECIFICATION

Technical Education:

  • Must have good IT Skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
  • Managerial Skills beneficial but not essential

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 months operational experience

You must be eligible to work in the UK and must have been resident in the UK for a minimum period of 5 years. You will also need to provide full details of your employment and education history for the last 10 years as part of the security screening process for this role.
