We are looking to recruit a Fire Door Engineer to join our friendly team at a prestigious building in Cheltenham to undertake maintenance and installations of fire doors, non-fire doors and other fire safety equipment within a large complex. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 7am and 4pm.

 

Some of the key responsibilities of the role are:

 

  • Undertake corrective maintenance activities identified during inspections by a third party.

  • Complete reactive maintenance activities identified by our clientele or internal resource within appropriate timescales.

  • Ability to assist other team members develop and improve their understanding of fire door systems. 

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), inspection and testing tasks.

  • Carry out reactive / corrective / repair works.

  • Possess and apply a good understanding of health and safety regulations


The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Criteria:

 

  • NVQ 2 Carpentry qualification (or similar) and be willing to work towards FDIS/ FIRAS competence (or similar) which will be fully funded

  • Experience of remedial work and new installations.
