Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two apprentices to join our team in Belfast. 4-year apprenticeship programme helps people design, install, commission and maintain Fire Detection and Alarm Systems or Electronic Security Systems for simple and complex premises providing protection to life and properties from risk and danger.

The course is made up of 2 elements.

The Level 3 Diploma in Fire  Alarm Systems or Electronic Security Systems (VRQ) will develop your knowledge and practical skills for the sector.   It will cover elements such as Health and Safety, Scientific Electrical Principles, Networking Principles, Design, Installation, Commissioning, Handover, Fault Diagnosis and Maintenance of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems or Electronic Security Systems.   This element of the Apprenticeship is assessed through a range of multiple-choice exams, assignments, and practical work.

This is complimented by a Level 3 Diploma in Providing Fire, or Electronic Security Systems (NVQ), which allows you to demonstrate competence in the industry by developing a portfolio of onsite evidence.

 


Job Responsibilities (Working alongside with the current qualified engineers you will help with the following)

  • Attend calls for maintenance as directed by team coordinators

  • Rectify faults on the first visit where rectification is within your control

  • Carry out PPMs

  • Help to Commission small projects when required

  • Carry out any addtional tasks that may be required
