HMP Rye Hill is situated in Willoughby, near Rugby, Warwickshire and is a category B training prison acting as a national resource for sentenced male adults who have been convicted of a current or previous sex offence(s). 

We have an exciting opportunity within our Finance Team at HMP Rye Hill as an Administrator/Finance Assistant. This role will include working closely with the Finance Manager and other departments in the prison.

As the Finance Administrator you will be responsible for the ordering and receiving of prisoner purchases, ensuring prisoner’s accounts are up to date with monies coming in and going out of their accounts, the upkeep and monitoring of the prisoner telephone system and dealing with any additional ad hoc requests from prisoners as necessary.

As part of the role you will also be expected to assist with supporting the Independent Monitoring Board (IMB), support with ordering and distribution of stationary and other purchases, support with the balancing of company credit cards and helping with staff purchases from the Industries and Gardens departments as required.

As a Finance Administrator you will have good attention to detail, excellent communication skills, good computer skills including Microsoft Excel and the ability to process large volumes of data accurately. Knowledge of financial systems such as SAP will be advantageous but not essential.
