We are looking for a dynamic Facilities Manager who wishes to develop their skills in a challenging commercial environment with an exciting team, delivering great service.

As a Facilities Manager for a school, you will be responsible for managing all site based activity at the school to ensure services are delivered in accordance with the contract. You will implement and manage Soft Service improvement initiatives and ensure that all company employees, contractors and visitors comply with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and site policies and procedures.

You will support the Contract Manager to ensure all aspects of the service delivery are continually monitored, measured, and reviewed. You will ensure the contract exceeds the operational profit and loss budget and financial targets within the company business plan. As an an experienced Facilities Manager tyou will lead the team on a £1.5m PFI schools contract. You will be responsible for all services to the school including cleaning, M and E, grounds maintenance and Life Cycle projects. The role will interface with the main customer - School Business Manager and report into the PFI Contract Manager. The on site team is supported by Hard and Soft Services Managers, the Fabric Team and the Helpdesk. The location also has an extensive Community Use Programme.

Some of your other responsibilities will include working with the Commercial Manager to implement and manage service improvement initiatives in the following areas: cleaning The G4S Way, premises management, cultural change, management competencies and planning and reporting.


The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Criteria

  • BIFM Level 3-4
  • ILM – Level 2-3
  • BICS training

It would be desirable for you to have IOSH Managing Safely for this role. The post holder will need to demonstrate a knowledge of cleaning and the modern methods, in addition; how M and E systems work and must be articulate and commercially aware.
