As a Executive Protection Driver, you will be tasked with operating motorized vehicles for the purpose of secure transportation for the company. This role will be responsible for providing efficient and high-quality support directly to the client and staff, as well as assisting in the protection and safety of passengers. Drivers must work independently on projects, from conception to completion, work under pressure to handle a wide variety of activities, competently respond to any situation that may arise while supporting the client, and actively support the organization's mission.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Provide efficient and high-quality support directly to client and staff 
  • Conduct ongoing threat, risk and vulnerability assessment
  • Operate motor vehicles in a safe and legal manner
  • Prepare/maintain client’s comfort items in the vehicles: water, tissues, umbrellas, etc.
  • Maintain vehicle readiness: fuel, tire pressure, service records, etc.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness: interior and exterior, hand washing on site
  • Conduct site, route, hospital and hotel surveys

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a current and valid Illinois driver’s license with no criminal moving violations, infractions or DUI’s in the past 7 years
  • Must be a graduate of a reputable executive protection training school /driving school

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Work history must include demonstrated knowledge of Illinois state law pertaining to driving and vehicle operation
  • Must possess a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in any combination of the following: Military, Corporate Security, Protective Operations, or Law Enforcement

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must possess a strong understanding of the latest technology in use of smartphones, communications, and collaboration apps
  • Must have the willingness and ability to travel extensively overnight with little to no advance notice
  • Must have the willingness and ability to work flexible hours to include weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Must be able to maintain an extremely high level of confidentiality for the client
  • Must possess a high level of emotional and situational intelligence
  • Must possess the ability to interact with all levels of corporation management, liaison internally and externally with a multitude of other departments and personnel
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:    Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat    

Major activity:    Driving motorized vehicles, walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling
