The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Emergency Preparedness Manager.  The Emergency Preparedness Manager is responsible for the overall successful coordination, training, administration and mentoring of the customer’s emergency preparedness programs at all client locations globally. This position must have the ability to perform duties and resolve issues remotely with minimal supervision, and will work with the Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager to handle safety related management of safety issues conducted by security personnel at each site such as; fire extinguisher inspections, first aid kit management, safety inspections and injury and illness reports Other administrative and project-oriented functions may be designated in relation to Safety and Security Operations.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Function

  • Manage, maintain, and develop regional safety policies and programs including fire safety and evacuation plans
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the site emergency response plans within North America
  • Build an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program to include event support and Executive Protection (EP) training
  • Manage and facilitate standard requirements for Emergency Response Team (ERT) membership
  • Actively manage recruitment and encourage ERT participation within the regions, specifically coinciding with site events
  • Manage Instructor training for CPR/First Aid, AED, ERT, and Stop the Bleed training
  • Ensure a seamless reporting of training records for compliance purposes
  • Lead, coordinate and implement emergency preparedness programs and events
  • Oversee maintenance of safety equipment and inventory of medical supplies
  • Act as a liaison with HSE to ensure audit compliance and inspection responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, training certifications for each of the following:
    • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
    • Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
    • First Aid

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of three (3) yeas of management experience
  • Work history must demonstrate an upbeat attitude and positivity

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Applications
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to work flex schedules, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must possess strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Must possess strong verbal and non-verbal communication abilities
  • Must possess outstanding customer service skills
  • Must possess patience and flexibility in the training environment
  • Must possess the ability to navigate social situations with composure
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Office, minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures

Major or special activity:  Working on PC while sitting

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, walking, bending, limited stretching and reaching.  Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
