Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Support data loss investigators and investigations by performing forensic analysis, data collections, processing, review support, and production of electronic evidence
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects within the team
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure or application systems as required
  • Work on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support
  • Interact with attorneys, investigators, HR, IT, and other key business partners
  • Conduct reviews of alerts, analytic data, and forensic to identify situations which require review, policy violations, or threats
  • Coordinate with other team members to quickly review alerts and summarize for action
  • Complete written reports (case details and findings)
  • Understand how encryption, obfuscation, steganography, and other methods are used to conceal data movement
  • Demonstrate history of an event that happened on a computer system to managers and human resource representatives; requires excellent verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate and take action upon understanding of TTPs (tactics, techniques, and procedures) used by threat actors in Intellectual Property theft
  • Assist with the identification of sensitive electronic assets (Intellectual Property) and lead the creation of processes or methods to detect movement those assets

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in eDiscovery, Computer Forensics, Investigations, Legal or relevant field
    • Bachelor’s degree, or international equivalent, in Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, National Security, International Affairs, Criminology, or relevant course of study with a minimum of three (3) years of experience within a major law enforcement, intelligence, public service or private sector security organization

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Strong interpersonal and teaming skills
  • Demonstrated ability to follow prescribed processes
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Environment:  Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat


Major activity:  Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing


Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
