Role Overview
As a Duty Manager at G4S, you'll lead, coordinate and manage the provision of the site security service at the clients site, to ensure a safe and secure working enviroment for all staff and vistors. You will manage a team of trained site personnel to provide a delivery of service that exceeds service level agreements. As a Duty Manager, you will also be the point of contact for all security related matters ensuring service delivery and adequate, prompt response to all site incidents whilst upholding the reputation and integrity of the company. 
Other responsibilities include;
  • Day to day management of the team.
  • Welfare checks.
  • Day to day rostering of personnel.
  • Training and development. 
  • First line of HR to include counselling forms and initial investigations, as well as initial grievance hearing. 
  • Lead attendance to all site incidents. Reporting and closing incidents, attending after action review meetings. 
  • Health and saftey.
  • Attending meetings and understanding operational requirements. 

The Ideal Candidate
Due to licencing requirements, you will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. A good IT knowledge is also key. You must be flexible and available Monday to Friday. The shift hours are from 07:30 to 16:00.
It is essential to hold a valid SIA licence. Previous management experience is desirable. 
The Ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate;
Good literacy and communication skills and have good verbal and written English.  
Possess a good telephone manner.  
Be computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Word. 
The ability to plan a shifts and manning to maximise effectiveness.

Planning & Organising 
Provide motivation, encouragement, coaching and development to staff.
