Job Introduction:

AMAG Technology is seeking a highly motivated Director of Operations to lead the activities of the Customer Relationship Representatives and Logistics Operations Team.

Role Responsibility:

  • Ensure Customer Orders are processed and acknowledged within set timeframes
  • Manage, coach, mentor and develop the staff
  • Coordinate purchasing activities with customer service, technical support, and other departments to acquire inventory and supplies in a cost effective and timely matter
  • Demonstrate ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Analyze reorder reports and review product demand reports and ensure purchase orders are placed accordingly
  • Make recommendations to amend customer service policies and procedures.
  • Work with customers, vendors, management and peers to successfully resolve problems, provide information.
  • Liaise with Accounting and RMA Receiving Departments to resolve billing and credit problems.
  • Ensure all customer and vendor and purchase orders are processed according to established work instructions and procedures.
  • Actively look for ways to help internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate:

  • BS/BA degree in Business Management preferred
  • 10+ years of progressively more responsible experience in a manufacturing/distribution office environment including management experience is required 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered 
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Solid knowledge of how processes and functions of customer service, purchasing, and returns management interrelate.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet objectives within deadlines with outstanding follow-through, time management and planning skills.
  • Strong customer orientation and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven productive working relationships with customers, management and peers.
  • Microsoft Office Computer Skills required.
  • Experience with Great Plains a plus.
