At G4S we are continuing to play our part in supporting the government in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic.


The requirement for safety and security is needed right now, so we’re looking to recruit an experienced Security Deputy Project Director  to join our team to protect and facilitate essential COVID-19 services on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.


The Deputy Project Director will report directly to the G4S Project Director, and will hold  responsibility for the direct management of the operational delivery to the project through a network of G4S security cluster managers and site based management. providing strategic direction where required, including strong, supportive leadership and guidance to the security management team.  The role shall encompass the current security operation, and future development, across the project operation, meeting G4S performance standards and operational requirements.


Operating in a fast paced, high pressure, multi stakeholder project environment, the successful candidate will be required to plan and manage in cooperation with both the client and stakeholders to deliver services across the project's landscape, to provide innovation and solutions to an often challenging operation whilst leading the management and delivery of the operational plan.




Requirements & Skills


  • Planning and liaison with Client and Stakeholders at the appropriate levels

  • Monitor quality and production of all incident reporting

  • Ensure delivery of SOP’s, protocols and procedures.

  • Produce best practice recommendations and promote a professional image of all G4S operations

  • Assist with the development of all internal and external relationships

  • Attend all relevant project level meetings ensuring G4S are represented and engaged at all levels.

  • Management of monthly supplier review meetings.

  • Deputising for the Project Director and assisting with functions where required

  • Experience in a fast paced, high pressure, multi stakeholder project environment

  • Operational leadership and decision making.

  • Ability to innovate

  • Communication and liaison skills at all levels.

  • Incident management and leadership experience of working in a high-profile, operational environment

  • A team player with the ability to prioritise and work on own initiative, within project deadlines

  • Flexible, organised and able to work under pressure

  • Confident, well presented with excellent attention to detail

  • Customer focus and an ability to develop key stakeholder relationships to enhance operational performance.

  • A good standard of computer literacy (including MS Office applications: Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and knowledge of G4S business process applications

  • Full UK driving license and a flexible approach to working patterns and hours
