Job Introduction:

The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Data Detection and Threat Investigator. As a Data Detection and Threat Investigator, you will serve as an expert and global program manager within Global Security (includes Asia Pacific; Europe, Africa, Middle East; and the Americas) conducting investigative activities, where decisions and results have an impact on security, corporate service process partners, and/or business results. This position is recognized within the client structure as an expert in a specific aspect of the security investigative field including but not limited to Insider Threat, Trade Secret Protection, Network Forensics, Computer Forensics, Due Diligence, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Financial Frauds, Internal Security related matters such as Theft, Heavy Equipment Theft, Product Diversion, Brand Protection/ Counterfeit, Espionage, and Sabotage.    This role will partner with process owners, create and maintain all investigative internal documentation, develop training materials, as well as other data detection and threat investigator program management functions.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Lead and provide various security services as requested by the client (Interviewing/Data Collection reviews/support) globally ((includes Asia Pacific; Europe, Africa, Middle East; and the Americas)
  • Manage data detection and insider threat program and report changes in operational details, requests from clients, and incidents to Risk Operations Center
  • Manage the implementation of new investigative programs including policies  and procedures in furtherance of client’s objectives
  • Create and maintain all investigative internal documentation with trending reports on a monthly basis
  • Identify areas of improvement in current systems and tools to improve the process
  • Engage with personnel (internal and external clients) in a professional and tactful manner; builds rapport with the client, teammates, and outside agencies
  • Identify threats to clients and supporting data as required for the company; provide expert-level advice to client of potential threats and security issues
  • Design and deliver training and other information regarding the Global Security's investigation in writing, in person, and through the use of virtual communication tools
  • Respond to security incidents and intercede when necessary with full decision making authority to protect the client from harm or embarrassment
  • Conduct and oversee interviews of personnel to determine if a violation, false notification, or criminal act occurred
  • Coordinate  and lead other team members to quickly review alerts and summarize for action

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in intelligence studies, national security, political science, international affairs, criminology relevant course of study

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public service or private sector security organization

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States

  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity:  Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:   Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
