The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Contract Security Officer (CSO) 3 Supervisor. The CSO Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to coordinate security operations at all sites while on duty. This includes post checking sites with manned officers and camera patrol of sites that are unmanned when applicable. If a discrepancy is discovered they are to coordinate the proper handling. This includes directing the Rover CSO 2 to the scene, instructing the Security Command Center on proper notification; documentation and notifying customer representative and G4S Management. This position is responsible to coordinate the training of assigned officers and submit monthly reports of training. Additional responsibilities include the development of officers, appropriately responding to related assignments, and carrying out guidance provided by client within G4S Post Orders and directives.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Incidents, alarms and unusual occurrences
  • Respond immediately 
  • Provide direction and guidance on the proper case handling
  • Ensure incident report is submitted
  • Conduct substation checks
    • Complete thorough substation via CCTV 
    • Report promptly any discrepancies discovered during substation checks by CCTV
    • Ensure incident report of substation check discrepancies is submitted
    • Conduct investigations
  • Oversee Security Command Center
    • Ensure that paperwork is in order with regard to Perspective reports
      •     Review and submit Perspective reports
      • Conduct Perspective training as needed
    • Establish training program for Security Command Center and submit for approval
      • Conduct training of CSOs using approved training
      • Conduct training of current Security Command Center using approved training
      • Provide remedial training for Security Command Center as needed
      • Conduct training as new directives are issued by G4S Management
    • Conduct site checks (Kahe PP, CPTY, Waiau PP, Ward Base Yard, King Street)
      • Coordinates Site Checks with Security Command Center AOIC
      • Complete a CCTV checklist of HECO Sites
    • Provide direction and guidance to the officers on duty at the five (5) sites
      • Provide guidance, direction and clarity on Perspective reports
      • Conduct Perspective training as needed
    • Conduct regular Post Checks of Special Duty assignments
    • Submit at the end of each five-day work week a detailed report to Customer and G4S Management in the specified format (separate attachment)
  • Review and modifications
    • These duties and responsibilities may be subject to modifications and revisions
    • Primary liaison between company and customer senior management
    • Oversee all aspects of security function on-site is performed in a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training all G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. personnel assigned to his/her site).
    • Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
    • Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement from G4S
    • Perform other operations and related functions (e.g. payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assistant in preparation of security surveys and post orders)
    • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance
    • Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision
    • Create and conduct Financial Assessments, Spreadsheets and Briefings
    • Respond to customer request

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing.
  • Must have a current Hawaii Driver’s License

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Security Officer assigned to the client site
  • Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of security experience

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules – days and times are subject to change depending on needs
  • Must be able to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Environment: Indoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, lifting, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
