This role and contract sit within our Facilities Management sector of G4S where we aim to improve the lives of people across the UK and Ireland by creating productive, safe and smooth working environments.

We have an opportunity for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team as part of our contract with Greenwich BSF covering 2 sites at Crown Woods Academy 145 Bexley Rd, London SE9 2PT and Thomas Tallis School 154 Kidbrooke Park Rd, London SE3 9PX

This is a full  time role working 40 hours per week between 08:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday 

As Cleaning Supervisor you will be manage the Soft FM Services team to ensure that the areas within the sites are kept to the required levels of cleanliness to the satisfaction of both G4S FM and the Client 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators are achieved and reported on, ensuring all necessary documentation as associated with KPI reporting is completed.
  • Ensure jobs are responded to within contract timescales.
  • Support the team, taking responsibility for training and development and maintenance of expectations related to all people management aspects including absence and time keeping, retention, productivity, quality of work, uniform and appearance standards, behaviour and attitude. Take control of any informal conversations or counselling meetings relating to this.
  • Support the implementation operational policies and procedures in line with Contract obligations
  • Ensure compliance in relation to company procedures for Health & Safety, Environment and quality, Service Delivery, Finance and HR.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly stored, maintained and used by staff
  • Be an integral member of a professional FM Service, providing leadership and direction to the cleaning and premises staff on a day to day basis.
  • Ensure that staff are aware of the relevant risks and reporting procedures and use the Risk Register to escalate issues that expose the Company of its staff.
  • Plan and monitor the tasks and activities of the FM staff and resolve service issues relating to unplanned absences due to vacancies and ill health.
  • Assist the Contract Manager in delivering a service that meets specified standards, is safe, operates within budget and has effective improvement mechanisms to raise standards.
  • Use all materials and consumables in accordance with laid down practices ensuring the economic use of resources.
  • Ensure that all cleaning schedules are completed and checked on a daily basis.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Attend both internal and external training courses as required.
  • Provide cover for other Supervisors where appropriate.
  • Ensure that staff are checking equipment for faults and notifying the relevant person. Report any structural and fabric defects to the relevant person.

  • Enthusiastic with a  flexible approach.
  • Previous People Management experience.
  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Adaptable to fluctuating workloads.
  • Full Driving Licence.
