Role Overview


Playing a vital role within the RBS Gogarburn campus you will work mainly within the on-site Security Control Room. As a high-profile site, you will work closely with all levels of G4S staff and RBS Management with a professional approach. Core shifts will be based on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with a rotation of days and nights, however, this role requires a level of flexibility and commitment above the norm.


Responsibilities of the role will include the following:

 Car park access control
 Intercom Control
 Intruder Alarm System – Main Complex & Ancillary Buildings
 CCTV monitoring – Main Complex & Ancillary Buildings
 Vehicle Logging
 Incident Reporting
 Compliance with Data Protection Act
 Monitoring of Fire Alarm Detection System
 Intelligent Building Information System (IRIS)
 Key and building card issue and control
 Delivery & amp; Dispatch Management
 Responding to the Personal Attack Alarm System
 Responding to out-of-hours incidents and alarms as per site instructions
 Responding to Emergency Evacuation Procedures
 Issue FSC guarding requests
 Provide added value to the client when requested
 Step up to cover supervisor when required
 Other duties as per business requirements


About You


Previous experience within a similar role is preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of security experience also desirable. It would be a benefit to have your CCTV license, however, it's not essential as we can provide training. You must be IT literate (Microsoft Applications) although training will be given to the successful candidate, you will have the ability to work under pressure when required. The successful candidate should be a proactive, forward thinker and have the ability to adapt to change. As pre-requisites of the position, all candidates must be competent in report writing, and incident management procedures and be able to demonstrate their abilities in all of the above.
