We are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join our  team, North Wiltshire School is spread over three school sites, you may be asked to work at another site if the need arises to which we will reimburse travel expenses.


 

This is a part-time role based at Malmesbury,  working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 am - 14:30 pm.

 

This is a Term Time Only vacancy which means you will be paid on a 43 week contract. Your annual salary will be £10,257.15.

 

As a Catering Assistant, you will assist in providing catering and food services to the school, maintaining an awareness of health and food safety standards and working as part of a team to ensure service delivery across the contract. 

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of cold snack items.

  • Preparation of cake or biscuit items for sale.

  • Preparation of items on the menu as directed by the chef manager.

  • Serving food to customers.

  • Operation of tills and use of cashless catering.

  • Cashing up tills.

  • Clearing up kitchen and restaurant areas.

  • Completing paperwork as required.


The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Criteria:

  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills.

  • The ability to work well as part of a team.

  • Flexible with an awareness of basic food safety. 

Ideally you will have experience of working in catering within a school environment, however training will be provided.
