G4S Employment Support Services (ESS) are looking to recruit a dedicated team across the North West of England to deliver the new RESTART employability programme on behalf of DWP.  

The RESTART contract will support individuals into long term employment across the North West through our network of Suppliers and Stakeholders and we are looking to recruit a team of individuals, in a variety of roles, to ensure the success of that delivery.

We currently have a great opportunity for a Business Support Officer to join our team.  You will be responsible for delivering a full administrative support service to the Restart contract, which will involve successful liaison with internal colleagues, stakeholders, supply chain and customers. You will be responsible for conducting the Warm Handover and will be the first interaction with the Participant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming handover calls between local JobCentre Plus and participants in a professional and timely manner.
  • Create participant records in the IT System, making key decisions and allocating the workflow accordingly. 
  • Process any change of circumstance notifications ensuring that all relevant parties are notified of any changes and that system records are maintained appropriately. 
  • Act as the first point of contact for JobCentre Plus and manage and/or escalate queries to Supplier Relationship Managers or Suppliers.
  • Manage multiple mailboxes and ensure any queries are routed appropriately and monitor their progress.

The Ideal Candidate:



Essential skills:

  • Previous contact centre experience.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven experience in delivering high level customer service.

  • Strong computer literacy and administrative skills.

  • Attention to detail.
