The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Behavior Detection Officer Supervisor.  The  Behavior Detection Officer Supervisor oversees site operations and ensures all Behavior Detection Officer (BDO) personnel are fulfilling responsibilities throughout their shifts. This position resolves personnel and/or operational issues and reports to chain of command, and will supervise all field training, coaching, and corrective action of their officers. The Supervisor will oversee managing daily personnel needs and the creation of route schedules to ensure proper building coverage. 

This position will work with the Security Director on the professional development of the BDO officers and BDO program.  The Supervisor will work to ensure policy compliance within the program and will assist with the ongoing program assessment and make recommendations for process improvement.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Oversee that all aspects of the security function on-site is performed in a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training all G4S personnel assigned to his/her site)
  • Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
  • Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement designated by G4S
  • Oversee the implementation of SIRA (Suspicion Indicators Recognition and Assessment Program throughout department
  • Assist with the cross-training of officers to help make them more versatile
  • Assist with decisions regarding individual employee’s performance and take appropriate action including training, discipline, or removal
  • Assist with the selection of personnel for the Behavior Detection Team
  • Perform other operations and related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)
  • Respond to client requests


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training and qualifications for licensing
  • Must be able to complete Suspicion Indicators Recognition & Assessment (SIRA) training 

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess behavior detection experience
  • Work history must demonstrate advanced skills in intelligence collection/analysis and investigations

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Applications
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

  • Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent customer relation skills
  • Must possess the ability to process information rapidly and make sound decisions
  • Must possess the ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations
  • Must possess the ability to accept direction
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
