Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

As a Security Badging Officer, you will be responsible for processing security and access permissions for the client's new employees and contractors, as well as existing personnel, visitors and others requiring building access. You will also activate or deactivate photo identification cards as set by specified policies and perform other duties as specified in post orders.'

Detailed duties include:

  • Create access control badges to include all programming as it relates to activation and deactivation
  • Process Tenant badges and maintain appropriate logs regarding the issuance, return and track all associated actions
  • Sounds alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
  • Perform customer service by interacting with internal and external clients and assisting in finding resolutions of issues or concerns
  • Permits authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
  • Monitor all communication devices to include but not limited to: phones, emails or online requests
  • Report all issues that cannot be resolved within scope of work to supervisor and manager
  • Provides assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

What does it take to qualify for this great opportunity? We're looking for professional detail-oriented individuals with a talent for effectively assessing/evaluating situations and identifying critical issues. For this role, you will need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED, etc.)
  • Ability to meet and maintain any applicable licensing or certifications requirements (e.g. AED, CPR or First Aid)
  • Pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

You will also need:
  • A minimum of one (1) year prior documented security experience

Skills Required

You will also need the following skills to be a successful Security Badging Officer:

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or foreign citizen legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Be willing and able to work flexible schedules
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
