This person will be required to organize, schedule, and coordinate all aspects of a 24 hour a day security operation as well as interface with site management to discuss security services provided, identify problem areas, provide advice/recommendations for solutions and take corrective action where needed.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Provide supervision to Shift Supervisors (e.g., assist with customer relations, review post manning schedules, ensure Physical Security Surveys are updated regularly, and review disciplinary actions for consistency and propriety)
  • Implement standard security operations at sites and ensure compliance through constant supervision along with monthly reporting requirements
  • Ensure that contract-required training for security personnel are up to date in accordance with quality assurance and contract compliance
  • Track inventory and request necessary security equipment
  • Coordinate with the Site Supervisor and Project Manager on staffing requirements; manage multiple scheduling requirements of a large scale security operation
  • Work with supervisory staff to maintain overtime to a preset requirement designated by G4S


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Must be able to pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible security supervisor experience in a high-profile corporate environment at a headquarters campus or similar high visibility location
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Service in the military related to law enforcement, security, security forces, combat arms or any support role in a combat zone
    • Graduate of a certified public safety academy in the law enforcement, adult corrections or firefighter field
    • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or law enforcement related studies
    • Eight (8) or more years of active military service in any branch
    • Associates degree (60 credits or higher) with current or prior active military service

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must possess strong interpersonal relationship skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to interact cordially and communicate in a professional corporate environment
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office with minimal to no extreme temperatures expected

Major Activity: Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching.
