About the role

We have an opportunity for an Assistant Catering Manager to join our team based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire to support the Catering Lead and the rest of the team.  This is a full time role working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. As an Assistant Catering Manager you will support the catering operations on site, ensuring that the operation complies with all legislation.



  • Support the Inducting, training and coaching of Catering Team members.

  • To ensure accurate record keeping is carried out.

  • Develop relationships within the business to ensure best practice and seamless service delivery.

  • To be responsible for the administration of Hospitality.

  • To ensure all agreed service and financial objectives are met in line with expectations.

  • To promote working in a clean and tidy manner ensuring strict adherence to the food hygiene regulations at all times.

  • To provide ongoing supervision and support for Restaurant and Catering Outlet team members.

About you 

We are looking for a reliable, diligent, and highly motivated individual who has a keen eye for detail to join the team.  As an Assistant Catering Manager you will be expected to be a personable and supportive team player with the ability to undertake leadership decisions when necessary. 


Essential Criteria:

  • NVQ Level 1,2, and 3 in Catering, C&G equivalent or a proven level of experience.

  • Level 3 Food safety Certification

  • Knowledge of Microsoft word and excel

  • 5 Years’ experience in a large commercial or Contract Catering Services

  • Desire to lead and motivate a team
