We have an opportunity for an Asset Manager to join our team. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, home based with travel within the East London portfolio..


As Asset Manager you will provide the technical link that analyses the root cause of the gaps identified by our Asset Assurance team, and working with the operational delivery teams, develop solutions that lead to robust asset management within business and ensures that day to day maintenance activities are aligned with G4S Asset Assurance aspirations.


You will support the Leadership Team by providing robust remedial actions within the East London portfolio, providing assistance, direction and technical guidance to the various embedded operational delivery teams. To develop, implement and support the role out of appropriate tools and reporting to allow contract management to effectively manage contractors providing hard services, and support said Contact Managers in their interactions with service partners.


The role is pivotal in introducing the new standards and systems to G4S embedded operational delivery teams in line with the company's Strategic Development Goals, including introducing Asset Management Systems based on ISO 55001 (management/ reporting/ capture of data/use of asset), training and supporting the operational delivery teams during the implementation of best asset management practice across all PFI accounts.


Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, deploy, communicate and manage the asset management processes and data within the team, client organisation and supply chain

  • Develop and define the data standards required to deliver client outcomes

  • Understand asset and asset management risk and ensure all parties have a balanced view of risk

  • Ensure the asset register is kept up to date and meets the data standard required

  • Develop and manage the building surveying programme on a risk based approach to inform the asset register and lifecycle process

  • Validating realistic targets and performance measurement indicators

  • Ensure data management and change control protocols are in place and audited

  • Monitor process, procedures and data use to validate compliance

  • Create reporting and analytical capability to interrogate all estate and asset management across a diverse range of asset portfolios and contracts

  • Use data and analysis output for scenario modelling and to enable effective decision making

  • Ensure industry leading processes and strategies are developed and utilised to ensure consistent performance and quality standards for planned and reactive works (in consultation with embedded operational delivery teams), that will be utilised in asset management programs across the G4S PFI portfolio.

  • To work with the operational delivery teams to ensure that the tools derived from ISO 55001 (Asset Management) are utilised to ensure optimal asset operation, ensuring these are integrated effectively into business planning processes and provide support to the operational delivery teams in respect of 3rd party supply chain partners, cognisant of their responsibilities and obligations in respect of asset operation and performance.

  • Share knowledge, plans and strategies with the G4S Projects teams so as to maximise the project team resources and seek best VFM for projects and asset replacement.

The Ideal Candidate:


Essential Criteria:

  • Ideally educated to at least HNC / HND standard (or equivalent) in a relevant hard services discipline with demonstrable experience in asset management, lifecycle management, customer service and change management activities/fields.

  • Knowledge of change management tools and techniques and best practice asset management.

  • Good IT skills combined with a detailed understanding and appreciation of CMMS / CAFM systems or similar.

  • An appreciation of corporate real estate and property management, desired.

  • Experience of best practice standards including BSRIA Business- Focused Maintenance and ISO 55001 etc.

  • Highly Motivated with team working ethos

  • Good interpersonal and customer relationship skills - Influential

  • Enterprising with excellent problem solving skills

  • An ability to deal energetically with a multi-faceted demanding business

  • Good command of the English language both orally and in writing
