Role Overview
 
As a Security Officer at G4S, you are more than a Security Guard. You will be based at a prestigious motor company where your role will include greeting staff and visitors and ensuring they adhere to the required security protocols, conducting searches where required, patrolling the premises and dealing with security incidents. Responsabilities:
  • First line emergency response, need to be qualified to operate highly specialised equipment (including testing and maintenance where required) and in a range of emergency response techniques.
  • Gate security access control
  • Asset protection patrols & spot checks
  • Searches of vehicles & personnel items
  • Covid-19 temperature checking (safety access control protocols in place)
  • Carry out all Fire checks, Security checks and ensure all weekly and monthly paperwork are completed – in line with customer Fire Policy requirements.
  • Be readily available to standby, drain downs, emergency response, fires, floods, spillages and burst fire mains or any associated jobs
  • Conduct Safety walks of buildings during as required (no obstructions to fire equipment and hazard spotting)
  • Recorded vehicle & foot patrols as laid out on rota or as required
  • Basic knowledge of all customer Fire & Security requirements  
  • First Aid responder 

£9.12 - £10.12 would be offered to candidates dependant on experience and qualifications. Ideally we are looking for candidates with level 3 security management qualifications (minimum 12 month course) or those who are in progress of studying. 


The Ideal Candidate
 
You will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. A good IT knowledge is also key, You must be flexible and available to work on a varied shift pattern which will include days, nights and weekends. It would be a benefit to have from some security experience and your SIA licence, however it’s not essential, as we provide full SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence training. As this is a mobile position, you will also need to have a full clean driving licence and your own transport.
