Job Introduction:
Are you looking for your next Application Support Project? We have an exciting opportunity developing applications using .Net owning the full software lifecycle. This is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract where you will be reporting to the UK and Europe IT Lead. If you have strong SQL skills and .NET experience we would like to hear from you. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to work with both internal and external customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Role Responsibility:
- Develop application(s) using .Net owning the full software lifecycle.
- Experience of incident resolution, analysis, development, testing and implementation.
- Proactively identify, manage and minimise issues, problems and risks.
- Liaise with business and other IT staff to ensure business requirements are achieved and to ensure prompt resolution of production issues.
- Plan, agree and oversee releases/upgrades of applications including gaining appropriate change approvals and managing risk.
- Ensure quality standards are met including attainment of appropriate test sign-off.
- Plan and manage the delivery of own work and, where appropriate, that of others to delivery within agreed timescales.
- Ensure quality standards are met including ensuring that test sign off is attained.
- Undertake all work following departmental standards.
- Support of business critical applications
- Managing and minimising impact of application failures/faults
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential
Strong SQL Skills
.NET development
An understanding of Windows and IIS
Strong communication skills and interpersonal troubleshooting skills
Quick learner keen to develop new skills
Ability to liaise with internal and external customers
Desirable
Progress Database Support
A good understanding of G-Suite applications
Knowledge of Powershell, VBscript and/or batch file scripting.
ITIL qualification preferred
